How does FlameWarm™ minimize circadian disruption?

TARGETED WAVELENGTH DESIGN: Reduce Blue Light

The broad-band design of the FlameWarm™ spectrum covers from 530nm to 780nm containing green, yellow, orange and deep-red wavelengths and reduces the blue light significantly which eliminates the risk of blue light hazard essentially.

CIRCADIAN SENSITIVITY: Low M/P Ratio 0.099

The Melanopic/Photopic (M/P) ratio measures the stimulative or suppressive of melatonin secretion from a light. M/P ratio is a scientific and objective index to evaluate if your light holds back or helps with your relaxation. With the FlameWarm™ technology we successfully achieve the M/P ratio down to 0.099 - even much lower than a candle, bringing the incomparable effect of super low circadian rhythm stimulation than any light in the world – whatever the natural light or artificial light.

SCIENTIFIC COLOR DESIGN: Warm Chromaticity

The color of light is relevant to the vision and psychology very much. During the experiments of the simulated color, our scientists picked carefully the most rational dominant wavelength and same as the real flame, making the light natural and comfortable. Peaked at 600nm, typical correlated color temperature of 1250K (for reference only) and the 16-digital color is #FF5A00, FlameWarm™ is similar to PANTONE 16-1358 TCX Orange Tiger.

How does low circadian stimulus lighting work?

Following CIE recommendations (TN015:2023), the melanopic lux (m-EDI) should remain below 1 lux during nighttime and sleep. With general warm lights (2700K) or night lights (1800K), you'd need to dim the brightness significantly to reduce m-EDI to 1 lux, compromising illumination for evening activities.

However, with FlameWarm™'s tailored 600nm spectrum and 1250K color temperature, your lighting design can be 5x brighter than warm light and 3x brighter than night light while maintaining a low m-EDI level. This super low blue light emission doesn't cause concerns about circadian disruption, even at relatively higher brightness levels.

The low M/P ratio of FlameWarm™ means the light is easy on your eyes but difficult for your brain's Intrinsically Photosensitive Retinal Ganglion Cells (ipRGCs) to "see", minimizing its impact on your body's internal clock.

Dim-to-FlameWarm: Lighting for Seamless Transitions

Our unique Dim-to-FlameWarm LED solution combines the benefits of FlameWarm™ technology with a specially optimized dimming process. This integration creates a seamless transition from a bright, full-spectrum lighting environment to an extremely dim, sleep-friendly ambiance.

RELAX Mode: 98 CRI Full-Spectrum LED

In RELAX mode, individual 98 CRI LEDs provide bright, excellent color quality lighting at 3000K, replicating the warm and healthy glow of incandescent bulbs.

DEEP-SLEEP Mode: FlameWarm™ LED

When activating the DEEP-SLEEP mode, FlameWarm™ LEDs work alternately to create an extremely dimmed and relaxing lighting environment – the ideal night light for pre-sleep or deep sleep.

Ultra-Smooth Dimming

Unlike general dim-to-warm LEDs, our Dim-to-FlameWarm solution uses precision transistors and an optimized method to achieve ultra-smooth brightness and color adjustments simultaneously, free from abrupt effects common in other dim-to-warm products.

Experience the perfect union of illumination, relaxation, and better sleep with Yuji Lighting's Dim-to-FlameWarm technology, supported by our unique certification and services.
